Reiki Awareness Week 2011 June 5th

My my it's been a very long time since I posted a new post. Sorry, I'm sure that of I'd pushed myself to do the writing it would have been forced and not really sensible stuff.
But now do I have some news. It's Reiki Awareness Week next week, check out my little flyer for stuff that's happening. If you'd like to get involved or want me to get some reiki awareness to you please call me. L&G

Power & Grace

I was given these two words during a breath-work session I had a few weeks ago. They described me or at least the exalted form I could be. Power & Grace. Power I felt I understood quite well, and I thought Grace too, but as soon as I started thinking about the word I realise perhaps I didn't. Was I graceful, a gracious host, did I say grace before a meal or did I have the good grace to be polite. Lots of differing definitions.
Then this morning I was reading Anatomy of the Spirit by Caroline Myss and the word Grace came up. She said " Emily had the Grace to recognize guidance"
It got me thinking again, what is Grace and what does it look like.? I think it looks assured, at peace, generous, accepting, non judgmental and open to all things possible. It doesn't compete for attention, is happy in it's skin, aware of it's own divinity and not black nor white, nor right or wrong.
I think it is a state of bliss and evident in small moments during our lives, moments where, pain, anger, resentment and frustrations disappear. A new baby, the joy of pure love or the state we sometimes get to during meditation.
But what about the line from the book? " had the grace to recognize guidance"
What is it to be able to recognize guidance? and how can we do it? You have to get away from your ego and say, I don't know everything and it's ok to let someone else make the decision. I don't need to know why or how. It is both the easiest and the most difficult of tasks to achieve.
Let us all try to have the grace today not just to recognize guidance but to be in that blissful place that Grace brings.

New Year, New Hours, New You.

Welcome to the new year, the school year at least.
This year I'm sorting my studio hours into these following days.

Tues: 10am till 8pm
Thurs: & Fri:  9.30am till 2pm
Sat Morning:  9am till 2pm

I hope that the Tues evenings and Sat mornings will allow more people
to come along and experience the remarkable life changing reiki.

Remember in the search for a life change.
You aren't creating a New You
You are revealing the True You.

Be gentle with your critics...or send them a nano prayer.

As all of us have I have often reacted badly to my critics. Now I try and resist the temptation to criticize back and I try and remember this truth. The harshest critics of others are doubly hard on themselves and for them... that's not a happy or nice space to live in. That internal thought of, "could be better" , "never really good enough" leads to much negativity in our vibration. And a harshness with others "flaws".
That negative vibration eventually comes to earth so to speak in our physical self as illness and disease.
So next time you're told that something you've done is not right and that you should have done this or that. Before you explode.... listen to the words, accept the stuff that works, leave the garbage at the door and have a kind thought for your critic. Send a nano prayer for them to be more accepting of all that is them.
None of us is perfect, we are all on our own journey and that journey picks up speed the more accepting we become of the imperfections, of the world, other people and ultimately of ourselves.
Everything truly is ok!
